Bio Colin was born one momentous morning on September 18, 1985 to Donetha Reinhardt and Paul Kalmbacher.
He has five other brothers and fits somewhere in the middle. You read correctly: six boys.
Growing up a poor child of divorce, constantly moving, and going through periods where food stamps were all that kept the family afloat, Colin still managed to graduate at the top of his class in high school back in Fort Worth.
Immediately after spending his last summer working to pay for his education, Colin moved to Austin to study magazine journalism and to check out the legendary music scene.
Something of a musician himself, Colin counts Bruce Springsteen and Townes Van Zandt amongst his favorite songwriters. He is an awful guitar player and a decent singer.
Since his political awakening following the stolen 2000 election, Colin has found his place firmly among the progressive majority and has worked tirelessly toward progressive goals however he has been able.
As an Austin City Council candidate, Colin is campaigning on honesty, leadership and sustainability, issues on which our City Council has failed to deliver.
We hope you’ll help him fight the good fight and bring forth a revolution in Austin politics.
